Walking Groups:
If you would walk but don’t want to go alone, then join a Fit 4 Life walking group.
Walk to Run Group:
If you are ready to try running but you are not sure how to our Walk to Run group is the place for you. And don’t worry; we start with a few minutes walking and a minute or so jogging. 60 walkers are now runners with Fit4Life.
Running Groups:
Improve our existing fitness, achieve more distance and/or speed. Learn how to train efficiently and to minimize injury. If you are a social runner or want to take part in races, Fit 4 Life is the place for you! We follow the Run Faster, Run Less programme and all members are enjoying the challenge and improvement in their running.
So What is Fit 4 Life?
The aim is to encourage everyone aged 16 – 100 years old to get out and take some regular exercise.
We have people of all fitness levels taking part, from those who want some encouragement to get out and have a walk to experienced runners who use the regular Monday night as an opportunity to train with other runners.
The walk to run group have made great progress this season, soon they will be in the running group. There will be a range of groups you can join that cater for all levels of fitness.
We start with 3 basic groups and then split these groups into smaller units to ensure similar fitness levels train together.
The 3 groups are:
- The Walkers: Suitable for with all.
- Walk to Run: If you are a regular walker who needs a new challenge this is the group for you.
- Runners: From new runners to seasoned ‘Marathoners’ or those who play a sport already and want to add a new element to your regular training we can give you a challenge.
So if you want to get up off the couch, lose weight, improve your fitness and make new friends try Fit 4 Life.
